Portulacaria Bonsai of 7 Years
Species of origin in South Africa belonging to the family of the Portulacaceaes.
It is a fleshy bush, of rounded green leaves with about 1.5 cm. Although it does not allow the application of many of Bonsai's modeling techniques, it is appreciated for its rusticity.

Characterization: Starting in South Africa, it belongs to the family of the Portulacaceaes.
It is a carnude bonsai, of rounded green leaves with about 1.5 cm. Although it does not allow the application of some of the modeling techniques, it is greatly appreciated for its rusticity.
Location: Inside by a window (maximum distance 50 cm), without curtains or blinds, where you take 2 to 3 hours of direct sun per day, being round 180° weekly, away from heat sources or air conditioning.
Water: To water abundantly the earth until a lot of water goes out through the drain holes in order to moisten evenly the soil, always above never by immersion, with a fine drain waterer.

Let dry well the surface layer of the soil between waterings, (to confirm if the plant already needs water, touch the earth with fingers). It has no high water consumption.
If you have a dish under Bonsai, never leave any water in it (to prevent the roots from rotting).
There is no advantage in spraying the leaves, just do it in days that it adds and if the fertilizer is specific for foliar application, but ensure that they arrive dry at night to avoid fungi.
Nutrition: From February to October/November, with a base plan composed of a complete fertilizer (Fertil Bonsai Humic, or Green & Gold Bonsai Organic or Biogold), and a biostimulant (Bio Bonsai Activ), can still be linked with other products in our range.

Poda: It is put on growing 6 to 8 leaves and then lowering by the first leaves.

Transplantation: In March with Terra Bonsai Coníferas for it needs to dry well, always with strong pruning.

Pluming: It does not usually be creased, since its branches are fleshy, and break easily or crease with the wire. It can be easily shaped through pruning and placement of pulls and tensioners.
